Young Sheldon Season 6 Episode 3 Trailer Shows Mary’s Naughty Fantasy

Mary indulges in a naughty dream in the Young Sheldon season 6 episode 3 trailer. After getting fired from her job at the church, Sheldon’s mother has been having an identity crisis. While it has been difficult for her, it seems like it’s also allowing her to do certain things she hasn’t done before because of her faith, which makes for a more interesting future for Mary.

After getting Georgie and Meemaw out of jail in the Young Sheldon 6 premiere, the Coopers are now back to their usual affairs. For Mary, that means starting her new job with Brenda at the local bowling alley. This is where she is reunited with Pastor Rob in Young Sheldon season 6 episode 2. While she is happy to see him again, it sends her down a spiral that ends with a night out with George’s almost-mistress.

This change in Mary will actually see her continue to let loose, as shown in a new Young Sheldon season 6 episode 3 trailer (via TV Promos). Titled “Passion’s Harvest and a Sheldocracy,” the episode will see Sheldon’s mother reading an erotic book, resulting in her having another naughty dream. This is the first time she’ll have this kind of vision since she dreamt of going to bed with Pastor Rob.

What Mary Letting Loose Means For Young Sheldon

From the outset, Mary letting loose already has some advantages, something that both Meemaw and George agreed on in Young Sheldon season 6 episode 2. In fact, after her night out with Brenda, she even initiated some fun time with her husband, which has become so rare in the last several years. George fully appreciates this, not even trying to hide his excitement. If they continue to rebuild their relationship by spending more time with each other, Sheldon’s parents may very well be able to fix their crumbling marriage. That’s if Mary finally grows out of her infatuation with Pastor Rob, and George stops his secret meetups with Brenda. Mary letting loose could also be advantageous in terms of strengthening her relationship with Missy. It’s no secret that their dynamic can be tumultuous at times.

Unfortunately, Mary’s newfound attitude isn’t going to last long. As seen on The Big Bang Theory, she reverts to her buttoned-up, extremely judgmental version of herself. This doesn’t necessarily make her a bad parent, especially towards Sheldon, whom she usually favors. But, it’s unclear when and how she sheds this more fun version of herself and returns to her old behavior. Perhaps George’s cheating and eventual death play a part in her turn. For now, however, the Coopers and Young Sheldon viewers can enjoy this looser iteration of the Cooper matriarch.

Young Sheldon season 6 airs Thursdays on CBS.
