The Pallas’ cat (Otocolobus manul), also known as Pallas’s cat, is a small wild cat with long, dense light gray fur. The round ears are set low on the side of the head. Its head and body are 46-65 cm (18-26 inches) long and its long, bushy tail measures 21-31 cm (8.3-12.2 inches). It is well camouflaged and adapts to the cold continental climate of its origin, which experiences low rainfall and varying temperatures. Pallas’ pupils are rounded rather than vertical, a distinctive feature of small cats.
